Jasmine

Title:Botanical Name:Jasminum officianle,Chameli(Nepal)


Purpose:

Jasmine tea is drunk for calming and because of its aphrodisiac qualities. Jasmine oil used in massage and also is soothing to the skin, headache, toothache, menstrual cramps and treats depression and nerve conditions.

Hting Ke

Title: Hting Ke,  Dokudami  Houttuynia cordata  

Purpose: Good for eyes

Web diary: In Myanmar, they make salad with Lape(fermented tea leaf) .  They call it Lapeto.
In Japan, they call this Dokudami.
Dokudami in Japan famous as Jyuyaku(十薬）in traditional medicine.  It is good for high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and diuretic.  It is also ingredient of detoxify medicine in traditional medicine.

Garlic

Title:Botanical Name:Allium sativum,Garlic(Nepal)


Purpose:

In Gastro-intestinal Tract Disorders:-
Carminative (stops gas formation in the GIT), antiflatulent, appetiser, gastric stimulant, digestive, in atonic dyspepsia, gastrointestinal catarrh (inflammation of mucus membrane), piles and others.
2. In Respiratory Tract Disorders
Expectorant in bronchitis, bronchial asthma, pulmonary phthisis (wasting of the body), pulmonary tuberculosis, laryngeal tuberculosis, gangrene of lung, whooping cough.
3. Others
Anti-inflammatory, anthelmintic, diuretic and febrifuge, rubefacient, counterirritant, antiseptic, anti-rheumatic, anti-tumor, emmenagogue aphrodisiac, in anemia, coryza, cough, dysmenorrhea, weak heart and skin diseases.

Purpose:

It is Astringent, Purgative, Rejuvenative, tonic, laxative, nervine, expectorant, anthelmintic and alterative and Stomachic. It is useful in asthma, piles and cough. Long Pepper

Title:Botanical Name:Piper longum,Pipala(Nepal)


Purpose:

It is aromatic, stomachache, stimulant and carminative. It is good for constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue. It is also advised in diarrhea , cholera, scarlatina, Chronic Malaria and Viral hepatitis. Piper Longum is most commonly used to treat respiratory infections, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, tumors, and asthma. When applied topically, it soothes and relieves muscular pains and inflammation. It is said to be a good rejuvenator. Piper Longum helps stimulate the appetite and it dispels gas from the intestines. An infusion of Piper Longum root is used after birth to induce the expulsion of the placenta.
