Shakaw is used as a spice with other two kinds of spices in Myanmar.
Shakaw, Pakaw, and Majyang is the trio to cook curry, seasoned fishes and meats.
They are also used for to make Naw Hpu.
Naw Hpu is fermented small soy beans (in Kachin they call Naw Hpu Shring Kra).
With Naw Hpu Spring Kra and those 3 spices, they make spicy dry Naw Hpu.
This great cardamon is also called black cardamon.
