Celery

Purpose
:

The expressed juice of the plant, particularly the fleshy petioles, is the most effective form of medicine. It can be used for dropsy, rheumatic tendencies, gout, tendencies toward overweight, flatulence, chronic pulmonary catarrh, lack of appetite, and deficiency diseases. it is a strong diuretic which is not to be used when acute kidney problems exist

Celery also promotes the onset of menstruation; take it only in moderate amounts during pregnancy. As a salad vegetable or made into a tea, celery can be helpful also in clearing up skin problems. A decoction of the seeds can be used for bronchitis, rheumatism, and as a sedative for nervousness. A yellowish oil extracted from the root can restore sexual potency impaired by illness.

Treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and gout. Rheumatoid arthritis where there is an associated mental depression. Their diuretic action is involved in rheumatic conditions. Also used as a urinary antiseptic, largely because of the volatile oil apiol.

Infusion: Pour a cup of boiling water onto 1-2 teaspoonfuls of freshly crushed seeds. Leave to infuse for l0-l5 minutes. This should be drunk three times a day.

Decoction: Use 1/2 tsp. seeds with ½ cup of water; boil briefly and strain.

Juice: Take 1 tbsp., two or three times a day, an hour before meals. An electric vegetable juicer makes fresh celery juice easy to extract.

Mixes well with-carrot and apple juice. Due to its high sodium content, use less than you do of the carrots and apples, if blood pressure is high.

Oil. Take 6 to 8 drops in water, two times a day

Available everywhere in Cambodia.Soar throat,fever,lumbar and scorpion bites,helps for obstruction of urine or the urine does not exit,leaves for help fever,fresh leaves are smashed to the ground,cooked in water,and waited to drink.The roots treat the fever,lumbar.Its leaves can be piled.

Ironwood

Purpose
:

Available in mountainous area in Cambodia.It prevents to cure malaria,diarrhea,The leaves are used to plant.Content for stool softening and when stomach is really weak.

Lemon Grass

Purpose
:

lemongrass has been considered a carminative and insect repellent.Crushed root juice is taken to relieve piles. Root paste applied heals cuts and wounds. Boiled leaf and root juice help in treating diarrhea and dysentery.

Coriander

Title:Botanical Name:Coriandrym sativum,Dhaniya(Nepal)


Purpose
:

Coriander is also used traditionally for digestive and gastric complaints as well as for coughs, chest pains, bladder complaints, leprosy rash, fever, dysentery, externally for headaches, oral and pharyngeal disorders, halitosis, and post- partal complications.

Coriander can be applied externally for rheumatism and painful joints

The fresh herb and unripe fruit has a bug-like smell, ripe fruit has a pleasant tangy smell and taste.

Preparation to eliminate genital odors and bad breath:
Bring 2 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Reduce heat and add 3-1/2 tbsp. of seed. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours until the amount has been reduced to slightly less than a quart of liquid. Add 2 tsp. fresh, finely grated orange peel and one pitted, finely chopped date. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from heat entirely. Add I tsp. each of dried coriander leaf and finely chopped fresh parsley, with a drop or two of peppermint oil or wintergreen oil

When using for genital problems, warm up a portion and rub all around genital area. Dry in the air. Or gargle and rinse mouth with 1/2 cup while cool, but not heated.

Also very good to hold in the mouth or soak cotton with and insert to relieve toothache.

Marijuauna

Title:Botanical Name:Cannavis Sativa, Bhang or Ganja(Nepal)


Purpose
:

The leaves are beneficial in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery. Two grams of dried leaves can be taken with sugar and black pepper.
The leaves help in insomnia. They can be administered to induce sleep where opium cannot be used. Charas which is the active principle of hemp, as well as ganja, are effective drugs to introduce deep sleep.
Bhang or hashish is considered useful in digestive disorders like dyspepsia and other bowel complaints. It also acts as an appetizer when taken in small doses.
Charas is of great value in periodical headaches, migraine, acute mania, insanity and delirium, nervous vomiting, nervous exhaustion, convulsions and neuralgia.
The seeds of the plant are not narcotic. Their infusion is useful in gonorrhoea. Bhang or hashish can also be taken in this disorder.
The juice of Nepali hemp removes dandruff and head lice.
A paste of the fresh leaves is the useful in resolving tumours. The powder of the leaves serves as a useful dressing for wounds and sores. Ganja is externally applied to relieve pain in itchy skin diseases.

Radish

Purpose
:

Diuretic, laxative, lothotriptic, antiscorbutic ( a remedy for scurvy) and Appetiser.
Leaf juice is useful for Dysuria ( difficulty of passing urine), closure of urinary passage ( stranguary), acts as stimulant.
Root juice is useful in urinary trouble, piles and stomachache.
Seeds are carminative, expectorant, laxative and found to be effective in increasing information and excretion.

Heena

Title:Botanical Name:Lawsonia inermis,Mehndi(Nepal)


Purpose
:

It is Aromatic, antifungal, anti-bacterial, coolant and astringent.
Leaves paste is applied as a prophylactic against skin diseases. The paste of leaves is used in headache, joint pain, sleeplessness, diarrhea, jaundice, heart diseases, fever and burning sensation in feet. Powder is used on boils and burns. Decoction of leaves, if gargle, is useful in sore throat. It is natural hair dye.
